The defect

A fuel line in the plenum panel area may be touching against the rear engine compartment cover on the vehicles affected by this campaign. Relative movements of the engine while driving can cause knocking noises and can result in visible signs of chafing on this fuel line. The fuel line can start to leak over the service life of the vehicle.
