The remedy

Volkswagen Group Australia will contact owners of affected vehicles in writing. Owners can make an appointment at a Volkswagen dealership to have the technical measures applied to their vehicles. While most vehicles will only require a software update, some vehicles will also have a minor hardware update. These updates take less than 1 hour and are free of charge.Customers who would like further information can contact the Volkswagen Customer Experience Contact Centre on 1800 504 076 (8.30am to 7pm AEST, Monday - Friday).
