Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Affected vehicles are fitted with Bridgestone steer tyres, reducing the steer axle capacity to 5880kg, instead of the advertised capacity of 6300kg when fitted with the correct Michelin tyres.

The hazard

The Bridgestone tyres will be loaded past the tyre manufacturer's rating if the vehicle is loaded to the steer axle capacity of 6300kg, leading to premature tyre wear and higher fail rate in severe conditions, increasing risk to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should contact their nearest Isuzu Truck dealer to arrange for the replacement of the incorrect Bridgestone tyres with Michelin tyres.
