The defect

The vehicles may have been built with an incorrectly manufactured fuel tube, which may result in a fuel leak and potentially a subsequent engine compartment fire.

The hazard

An engine compartment fire due to a fuel leak could result in burns or smoke inhalation injuries to occupants and/or bystanders. The fuel leak could also cause the vehicle to lose power and shut down without prior warning, potentially causing an accident.
