The defect

A fault with the halfshaft assembly resulting in loss of power or inability to PARK the vehicle. The vehicle can crash without prior warning and cause vehicle occupants or bystanders risk of serious injury.

The hazard

A fault with the right front halfshaft assembly resulting in loss of power if driving or the inability of the vehicle to maintain PARK if stationary.A broken halfshaft bearing cage may also result in a loss of motive power which has the potential to cause an accident if such loss of motive power is on a busy road.
