The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect with a weld on the transmission mount, the connection between the transmission and propeller shaft may become separated. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of power whilst driving.

A loss of power while driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road user and bystanders.
