The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the sliding sunroof panel and frame may not have been bonded correctly. As a result, the sunroof panel may detach from the vehicle.

The hazard

If the panel either partially or fully detaches from the vehicle there is an increased risk of injury or death to road users.

The remedy
