Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

A certain number of Dennis Eagle 8x4 tandem steer vehicles may have been fitted with a steering pitman arm that was not manufactured to the correct specification. The manufacturing error could compromise the attachment of the steering linkages for the second steer axle to the pitman arm.

The hazard

If failure of one of the steering linkage attachments occurs, loss of steering control of the second axle can result. This condition may potentially result in loss of control of the steering of the vehicle, potentially causing an accident.

The remedy

Letters are being sent to affected owners. To rectify this concern, WSTA are supplying spacer components to compensate for the manufacturing error. Replacement steering arms will be supplied when available under a separate service campaign.
